Why dryer vent cleaning matters

Your dryer should move hot, moist air outside without fighting a clogged vent.

Fire-risk reductionRemoving lint buildup addresses a common ignition factor associated with home dryer fires.
Better airflowA clearer exhaust path lets the dryer discharge heat and moisture more effectively.
Faster dryingA restricted vent can contribute to longer cycles and clothes that remain damp.
Less strainImproved ventilation may reduce unnecessary heat and operating time.
Common warning signs: clothes taking longer to dry, the dryer or laundry room becoming unusually hot, a burning or musty odor, lint accumulating around the exterior vent, or weak airflow outside while the dryer is running.

Frequently asked questions

Useful answers without the sales pitch.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

The U.S. Fire Administration advises cleaning dryer vent ductwork every year. Homes with long vent runs, heavy laundry use, pets or recurring airflow issues may need inspection more often.

What are signs the vent may be restricted?

Longer drying cycles, unusually hot clothes or dryer surfaces, weak exterior exhaust airflow, odors, lint around the termination and automatic shutoffs can all justify an inspection.

Do you clean roof-exit dryer vents?

Roof exits can require different access and safety planning. Include the roof type and number of stories in the quote request so the job can be evaluated.

Does duct cleaning cure allergies or indoor-air problems?

No blanket health claim is appropriate. EPA does not recommend routine air duct cleaning in every home. Cleaning may be considered when there is substantial visible mold growth, vermin infestation or excessive dust and debris actually being released from ducts.

Do you use chemicals or sealants?

Any future duct-cleaning service will explain proposed treatments in advance. Chemical biocides and sealants should never be presented as automatic necessities.

When will full air duct cleaning launch?

It is coming soon. Use the quote form and select “Air duct cleaning interest list” to be contacted when scheduling opens.
